Punk-rapper, JooseLord Magnus, summarizes 2020 for all of us in his latest release, Quarantine:

What inspired your stage name?

My name was inspired by the movie JUICE. My Government name is Raheem and Raheem was in the movie Juice. I liked the movie a lot and my uncle started calling me Juice. I changed the spelling to Joose in college on all social media. Then my ex-girlfriend added the “Lord” part on one of my birthdays, and I ran with it.

Take away from the pandemic?
My take away from the pandemic is that no matter how alone you feel, no matter how isolated you are, there are ways to find like minds and connect with people. Nothing can tear us apart. As long as we have each other, we will try to communicate and understand each other. Even though we were actually apart, nothing can stop us from being together.

Music is __________.
Music is the only true answer to the world’s unspoken problems. If you feel alone, music can show you how someone feels like you do. When you feel emotional but don’t know how to express it; music helps you navigate those feelings and get them out. Music motivates people to do great things and push forward, but also consoles people when they are broken and feel they can’t go any further.

Music is pure emotion, PURE FEELING.

It’s the only universal language. Regardless of where you are, music does everything from making any situation more fun, to helping you focus on intricate/complicated tasks.

Music is alive ... It’s life.

Perfect date?

The perfect date for me would be with someone like me and it would last all day, like on those old tv shows Blind Date and whatnot. I like enjoying different parts of the day and the activities that happen at those times with a person. So we would probably eat a nice breakfast then do something active like a trampoline park or paintball or go-carts. Then change and go to some kind of art exhibit, and eat someplace really nice in those same clothes. And lastly we’d go to a fashion show with a crazy after party that has performances. But we would change before that too because I really like how people express themselves with clothes in different settings. It tells me a lot about a person.
