Godric

We caught up with artist Godric (can we call you God?) whose single MATELLY is out now:

Where were you last night?
In the passenger seat on the road home from Atlanta with my best friend watching movies on the phone. My favorites were Children of the Corn and I Kill Giants; both are must-sees!

Favorite mythological God or Goddess and why?
Probably any of the Black ones; can’t name any at the moment.

If you started your own political party what would you call it?
The Mutant Party…for citizens who uphold and prioritize the protection of their country’s history and values as a means to ensure those ideals are realized for all.

What’s your go-to celebratory song?
Golden Hour by Kacey Musgraves, The Worst in Me by Kaytranada & Tinashe and if I can’t get to those it’s forever Cece Peniston’s FINALLY. I’ve got a playlist titled “God’s Thumb” because I trust it’s that good. Every last track affirms Life. I have a deep relationship with stories in any form. Corny, but that’s fine.
